Berthoud Pass, Second Creek Trail Head November 25, 2007

Today was a great day considering the lack of snowfall we have had this season. My brother in law Wes (Tennessee Tele) and I decided to take a chance and see if there was snow high on the pass. Once we skinned to about 10,500 ft. and left the trees the snow was actually pretty good. We made several good turns that definitely brought a smile to our faces.

Tennessee Tele ready to go!

Rufus is always up for a snow day.

Rufus and I on the skin up.

Wes in front of the Second Creek Cabin, I think that is the name of this small shack.

Wes, nature is calling, that is snow falling off a tree, pretty cool.

Wes negotiating the skin to the aqueduct.

Me skinning with Rufus never far behind.

The views are always incredible.

Ready to go.

We thought about this line first but there were to many boulders in the run out.

Springggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, it will be done!

Wes taking off the skins.

I skied across and found a colder place to De-skin.

Wes ready to drop into line #1.

Wes making some nice turns with Rufus in pursuit, as always.

Wes defying gravity, nice trick.

Rufus still in hot pursuit.

Looking back at the snow field, there were some nice turns to be had.

A quick look back at line #1.

Scouting for line #2.

Ready to head back down to the car.

Wes after some nice turns, I think he was having a good time.
